What is Delta Kappa Mu?

Delta Kappa Mu is a Greek-letter organization unlike any other at UNC Charlotte.  Delta Kappa Mu honors men and women at Charlotte who exhibit exemplary passion and pride for themselves and their university - both academically and athletically.  While our organization may be heavily influenced by other Greek organizations, many things set us apart.

Delta Kappa Mu was founded in January of this year by a group of seven men and three women who had spent much of their collegiate careers as advocates for their University.  The concept behind Delta Kappa Mu is not only to honor students who possess similar qualities, but to create a united group where their passions could be put to work towards making UNC Charlotte a better place to live and learn.  Simply put, the goal of Delta Kappa Mu is to foster pride in the University.

Much of the inspiration for the Society comes from our University's founder, Miss Bonnie Ethel Cone.  "Miss Bonnie," as she was often called, was responsible for everything that we as students have today.  To put it plainly, Delta Kappa Mu is the continuation of her spirit and the work that she dedicated to this University.

Unlike other Greek organizations, Delta Kappa Mu has no rush period.  For more information on how to join, please go to "Becoming a DKM"
